Spiritual Snobbery

October 16th, 2017

Snobbery and elitism is one of the most widespread problems in the so-called "spiritual" community that we have today. There's a certain percentage of the population, for whatever reason, that feels like, because they've decided to engage in some self-work, this now gives them license to turn their nose up at others. Consequently, this rush of pseudo-enlightenment produces the opposite effects than one would think. Instead of increasing in empathy and understanding while respecting the journey that others have to embark on, an air of superiority predominates the consciousness of these individuals. As a result, their own progress is now measured based on the degree to which they're not like "those other people" i.e. "unevolved souls". Join Jason and Monica for this crucial discussion on putting this phenomena in perspective and doing what we can to neutralize its poisonous propagation.

August 28th, 2017

If we've ever stopped to think about the work that we do, and WHY we do it, chances are that we've also contemplated the type of space that work occupies in our lives. As time has passed and society has changed, so has our definition of what it means to work. The word vocation is derived from a Latin phrase 'vocatio', which means a call or a summons.  More people, as they move through life, are heavily immersed in finding their true vocation and are realizing that it originates from a deeper place than even the most attractive trappings can touch. There's an authentic core self that's seeking embodiment in the external world, and this discussion sparks thoughts as to how each and every one of us may embark on the journey to locate it. While grinding may be a necessity, there's a bigger picture that the hosts, Jason and Monica, are inviting you to see.
